The BMRC Distinguished Visitor Programme (DVP) aims to foster stronger ties between the local scientific community and internationally renowned scientists, such as Nobel laureates, Heads of top Research Institutions and Universities, and prominent personalities in the Biomedical Sciences.
The BMRC Distinguished Visitor is invited to Singapore to participate in a one-week visit programme, where they will visit the research institutes, universities and hospitals. The visit programme is customised for each BMRC Distinguished Visitor to best suit their specific research interests and promote interaction with the local research community.
The programme allows the Distinguished Visitor to learn about Singapore's Biomedical Sciences initiative and brings international scientific luminaries right to Singapore's doorsteps.
The Distinguished Visitor is also invited to give scientific, student and public lectures. This is an opportunity for our scientific community to hear about the newest research developments and allows our students to interact with top-notch researchers to inspire them to pursue research as a career.
The BMRC Distinguished Visitor Programme addresses an overall national Biomedical Sciences strategy in bringing greater awareness of our capabilities to the international community.
