MEET A SCIENTIST SESSION:

Professor Doetz will share his experience as a scientist and as an inventor of the “Doetz Reaction”. Prof. Doetz will also give an insight into the Chemistry R&D and collaboration opportunities in Germany. You are encouraged to engage Professor Doetz in an open discussion on any related topics.
 
 
About Professor Doetz: A distinguished scientist in the field of Organometallic chemistry, Prof. Doetz is well known for his invention of “The Doetz reaction”. He has over 200 original publication in peer reviewed journals. His current research interests include Haptotropic Metal Migrations and Organogelators. Prof. Doetz is also the Chair of Organic Chemistry, Kekulé-Institute, University of Bonn and a Member of the DFG evaluation panel (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, German Research Foundation, is the central, self-governing research funding organisation that promotes research at universities and other publicly financed research institutions in Germany).
 
On behalf of the A*STAR Chemistry Club, we would like to invite you to join us for a session of chemical bonding with Professor Doetz and colleagues in the chemistry community of A*STAR and Singapore. Our Club aims to foster networks amongst the local scientists as well as to promote chemistry in Singapore. We hope you can come to interact, seed the cross fertilization of ideas, and be inspired and learn from the great chemists in the world.
