National Science Scholarships

The National Science Scholarships (NSS) were launched on 13 July 2001 by the Minister of Trade and Industry, BG George Yeo. NSS nurtures Singapore's bright, young and passionate research talents for the challenges of a research career in Science. More than just excellent grades, we look for individuals who want to change Singapore and the world with their zest for Science.

The following schemes are offered under the NSS:

NSS(PhD) - The NSS(PhD) scholarships offer support for PhD training at reputable overseas universities and research laboratories.

MBBS-PhD (UK) - The scholarships offer support for MBBS and PhD training at selected UK universities.

MD-PhD (GMS) - The scholarships offer support for PhD training under the MD-PhD programme at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School.
