The A*STAR JC Science Award aims to spur the passion of science among our Singapore youths and give them a head start in scientific research and development (R&D).

Terms of Award
The Award includes coverage of monthly school fees plus an allowance of S$1,000 per year. It is tenable for 2 years; however, continuation of award in JC 2 is subjected to excellent academic performance in JC1 promotional examinations. The awards carry no bond.

Special Benefits
Awardees have the opportunity to undergo a research internship at A*STAR’s research institutes during JC 1 school holidays.

Awardees will also be given special invitations to A*STAR talks and seminars by leading A*STAR scientists, visiting Nobel laureates and renowned scientists from around the world.

Eligibility Criteria
The Award is opened to Singaporean JC students who have outstanding academic performance in science and mathematics subjects.

Award and Application
At least 100 awards will be offered to JC 1 students yearly.

Nominations will commence from February yearly.
